A drug dealer who was caught with more than 50 wraps of class A drugs in his mouth has been jailed.
Abdul Ali was already on bail after being caught with 22 wraps of crack cocaine and heroin concealed in his mouth in August, when he was stopped again by a plain-clothed officer in Snakey Path, off Burnside, Cambridge, on September 22.
A total of 30 wraps of heroin were found in his mouth.
Ali, 19, of Darwin Drive, Cambridge, had been caught with drugs, two mobile phones and £300 cash when stopped by police off Carlyle Road on August 6.
He pleaded guilty to two charges of possessing heroin and cocaine with intent to supply.
He was jailed for a total of three-and-a-half years at Cambridge Crown Court on Friday (January 27).
Ali was caught as part of Operation Cactus – a crackdown on the supply of class A drugs in Cambridge.
Detective Constable Paul Evans said: "Both offences came from excellent proactive stop searches by officers as part of Operation Cactus.
"This is an excellent result for the people of Cambridge as Abdul Ali was actively supplying dangerous class A drugs in the city. This case shows that drugs will not be tolerated in Cambridge."
