CBM UK Launched in Cambridge in 1996 by our National Director Dr. Bill McAllister, CBM UK is a member association of CBM International.

The charity acts upon the needs and rights of people with disabilities. Through our network of local partners we support more than 700 projects across more than 80 of the poorest countries of the world.

In 2011 CBM reached out to more than 36 million people who were living with or were at risk of a disability.

Through community-based rehabilitation (CBR) programmes, we are working to help communities to equip themselves with skills in the prevention and treatment of disease, and community education and rehabilitation so that people with disabilities can be included into their society as equals and lead a fuller life.

We always work in partnership with local organisations, and we provide an important advocacy link to their local and national governments.
